Small Gain Theorems on Input-to-Output Stability

چکیده
This paper presents nonlinear small gain theorems for both continuous time systems and discrete time systems in a general setting of input-to-output stability. Most small gain theorems in the past literature were stated for interconnected systems of which the subsystems are either input-to-state stable, or are input-to-output stable and satisfy an additional condition of input/output-to-state stability. In this work we show that when the input-to-output stability is strengthened with an output Lagrange stability property, a small gain theorem can be obtained without the input/output-to-state stability condition.

Stability Analysis of Hybrid Systems Via Small-Gain Theorems
We present a general approach to analyzing stability of hybrid systems, based on input-to-state stability (ISS) and small-gain theorems. We demonstrate that the ISS small-gain analysis framework is very naturally applicable in the context of hybrid systems. Novel Lyapunovbased and LaSalle-based small-gain theorems for hybrid systems are presented. The reader does not need to be familiar with IS...

One of the most important challenges in nonlinear, multi-input multi-output (MIMO) and time variant systems (e.g., robot manipulator) is designing a controller with acceptable performance. This paper focused on design a new artificial non linear controller with on line tunable gain applied in the robot manipulator. The sliding mode fuzzy controller (SMFC) was designed as 7 rules Mamdani’s infer...

متن کاملZames G. On the input-output stability of time-varying nonlinear feedback systems. Parts I and II. IEEE Trans. Automat. Contr. AC-ll:228-38; 465-76, 1966
This paper summarizes a feedback stability theory developed by the author during 1959-64. It introduces the concept of an extended space, and establishes three equivalent principles for input-output stability (or incremental stability): the 'small-gain,' 'positive-operator,' and 'conic-sector' theorems. Applications include the circle criterion, and a new proof of Popov's criterion. [The SCI in...
متن کاملFinite-Time Input-to-State Stability and Applications to Finite-Time Control Design
This paper extends the well-known concept, input-to-state stability (ISS), to finitetime control problems. In other words, a new concept, finite-time input-to-state stability (FTISS), along with related concepts such as finite-time input-output stability and finite-time small-gain theorems, is discussed, and then is applied to both the finite-time stability analysis and the finite-time stabiliz...
